O Prospecta é o Escritório de Ligação da Faculdade de Tecnologia – FT – da Universidade de Brasília – UnB – e tem a missão de gerir a interface universidade-empresa em tecnologia, engenharia e inovação visando a prospecção e captação de oportunidades e parcerias para o desenvolvimento de projetos de pesquisa, desenvolvimento e inovação (P,D&I), prestação de serviços técnicos especializados, oferta de cursos de especialização e de curta duração.
O Prospecta foi inspirado em práticas de algumas das maiores universidades do mundo, como o MIT Industrial Liaison Program (ILP), que é um portal que permite que empresas de todo o mundo aproveitem os recursos do MIT para enfrentar os desafios atuais e antecipar necessidades futuras.
O Prospecta é gerido pela Finatec para facilitar a interação entre a FT e as empresas dos setores produtivo, estatal e terceiro setor. Por meio de uma plataforma online o Prospeta disponibiliza os serviços que a FT oferece nas áreas de atuação de seu corpo docente. Assim, o Prospecta busca proporcionar aos docentes da FT um ambiente facilitador entre a universidade e seus parceiros e contribui assim com a ampliação da atuação da FT em ensino, pesquisa e extensão.
